Ashland Farms will be hosting a select sporthorse auction on October 18th 2009. It is a great opportunity for breeders to showcase their young stock, and also for buyers to purchase top quality youngsters with excellent performance lines.

Contact Paul and Darlene at ashland@sympatico.ca for more information

Is it just me or did they change the date, it says on the weekend of Nov.7th on the Auction page.

Also I was wondering how to put a yearling in the sale?

I am personally very disappointed in this sale.

I have e-mailed them as soon as the notice came out to get information about consigning a horse in the sale. It took a few days to get a first reply asking whether I was interested in buying or selling, to which I replied almost immediately.

Since then? Nothing, zit, nada, rien.

Confused

I am not one to be openly negative but how can they expect a good turnout if they blatantly ignore possible participants? There's not such thing as a "Selec" sale if they are only presenting their own horses...

As we all know, sometimes important e-mails get sent to the 'junk' pile...I would suggest e-mailing again or calling directly. Smiler

Hmmm... The new date is the first weekend of the Royal. That may be a downside for the sale - lots of potential buyers will be at the Royal that weekend...

Im not involved in the planning process, but I would strongly suggest phone calls over emails. Equus ... as for no response, I'm afraid I can't help you there.

If the auction is indeed on Nov 7th, that will be disappointing - I might very well be tempted to go and see if there are any nice investments Smiler - but I am at the Royal both weekends.
