There are two expected on this farm - one late April and one mid-May, both out of warmblood mares. Can't wait to see the babies!
I saw Chablis the other day and he looks marvellous. Good Job Ashland!

I have a Trakehner mare in foal to Chablis.

Just out of curiosity, what has he been doing? I haven't heard much about him, not that I have been looking either. Razzer

We are breeding a Selle Frac. mare to him early this spring!

I've seen him go a couple times and he is stunning! He's sooo scopy! And a really big puppy dog personality! Angela has done a ton with him under saddle. I can't wait to get our baby LOL LOL

Can you please post pictures of your babies for me to drool over LOL

I have seen that video.

I was more curios if he had been showing and how he placed? Where they were steering him, hunter or jumper?

I don't actually own the mare. She is an imported hanoverian by Acord II.

A friend/coach of mine has her mare in foal to Chablis. I'm REALLY interested to see this foal because the mare is stunning and has amazing movement. She jumps the moon, too! I'm quite excited to see this foal...Smiler

Hi! I am especting my foal very soon! My mare is due April 20th. She is very big. I can't wait to see the foal. The mare I bred to Chablis is a very nice and talented Selle Francais, I should have a nice foal!

Rockin Horse - Since Chablis is a heterozygous grey, you have a 50% chance that your foal will also turn grey.

Your mind before the race:
80m run
8 hurdles
34 steps
12 seconds
1 start line
1 finish line
1 gun shot
1 winner, the rest losers

Now try thinking about it when it is acually happening.

I believe this colour generator is pretty accurate for coat possibilities according to the Dam and Sire's coat colour. http://www.animalgenetics.us/CCalculator1.asp You just have to know the genetic code (idk what you call it) to get to most accurate Smiler

My fIlly has arrived! Wow what a night/early morning. To make a long story, short--sad and happy, we lost a geriatric gelding (had been diagnosed with a heart condition) within 2 hours of our new foal been born. Although he was a boarder, you do become attached to them--Bless all of you choose to give back to your equine friends a happy retirement. They do not ask for much. On a happier note, both mare and foal are doing well. The filly's barn name is "Patty" in memory of "Paddington." Mother Nature does work in strange ways. I think she will turn grey.
