Just read on Sir Wanabi's website that his breeding is offered at a 25% discount for this season. I am thinking of breeding my mare to him, anyone has heard of him or has had foals sired by him, your comments would be appreciated?

Seen him in person at the line shows - LOVELY, lovely stallion. Beautiful mover, and most importantly - a gentle, quiet temperament. I was always very impressed with him. And I have only seen one of his offspring in person, and she was lovely and well-behaved as well.
Definitely a high quality stallion to have in our backyard!
He did the low Hunter's as a four year old when I was showing 3 years ago. He was champion at quite a few of the shows. The owner rode with my coach. I braided him for 2 shows. Would never be able to tell he was a 4 year old stud! Even at the shows you couldn't tell he was a stallion by how he handled everything. I think he is beautiful and so well behaved. Beautiful mover, huge step, and awesome jump.

He also did the jumper development classes on the A circuit with Paul Halpern; I watched him go a few times at Beaulieu. Very nice stallion, well mannered and good technique!
I saw him at a few breeders shows and he looked and moved fabulous. His temperment is wonderful as well. He was like a gelding chillin' before his class.

He is presently the chosen stud for the RCMP horses too.
This is what is said about him:
-Successful ''in line'' at Ottawa area breeders show as a 2 and 3 year old. -Several championships in the Hunter and Jumper ring. -Approved as Canadian Warmblood Stallion: Reserve Champion Overall with highest Dressage index 123.10 as 4 year old. -Obtained Oldenburg NA licensing with a score of 220.5 in 2006 -Competed the 100 day test at Faxton Farm, Ohio with 117.25 final score with a perfect 10 Character -Reserve Champion Stallion at Devon in Pennsylvania, USA.
Sir Wanabi is a very modern stallion with a light expressive movement, refinement, elegance and athleticism. With only 2 crops of foals, Sir Wanabi is already making an impact here in Canada and abroad.
Thank you so much for all your comments. They have convinced me that he deserved a closer look. I went to see him last Friday, late in the afternoon and met with his owner, Ms Laprise. Sir Wanabi had just come back from a training session. He will be shown in the hunter classes this year. I had such a good impression of his conformation, movement and above all, his demeanour that I have booked my mare to this gentleman for this year. While I was visiting, Ms Laprise also showed me a couple of his newborn foals, a yearling filly and the lovely Scarlett. All of them beautiful foals, very similar to their sire. He truly stamps his foals with his own characteristics even with mares of different types.
