I don't know if he is standing in Canada anymore; last I heard he was standing in Quebec.
A friend of mine has 2 3yr old geldings by him. He throws some nice babies. I have not seen anything in this area by him that is younger than 3 though...
For those who were looking for Oellie R, he is still standing at stud, in St-Lazare, Quebec. We are the owner of Oellie R, he is successfully competing in the A circuit in equitation. For more info, crlboivin@videotron.ca
Thank you for posting! I would love additional information... Are you breeding him to your own mares? Do you have any of his progeny available? Can you tell me more about his career? Any current photo's? Very exciting to hear.
I have a 4 year old gray Oellie R filly. She is going well under saddle W/T/C. She's still growing so I haven't put her over fences yet, but she has voluntarily jumped over 4'. She has passed her CSHA mare inspection so is approved for future breeding, is level headed, and has big movement. You can see photos at www.fullhorse.com/h_olivia.htm. For pricing give me a call at 613-832-2860.
Did Oellie get final approval from CSHA? Can his foals be papered?

I know that it has been awhile since hershey7 has posted this message but I just wanted to inform you that Oellie R now stands at Sandra Laprise's barn in Alfred, Ontario (613)678 5975) and is doing well.

hershey 7, unfortunately, I cannot confirm whether there are any pictures or website. I am certain that Ms Laprise will be more than happy to give you the owners' coordinates (they are nice and trustworthy). This stallion is very good looking & balanced, has impeccable breeding (you do not see that many stallions with the bloodlines of Voltaire and Ramiro around) and is well-mannered. He is definitely worth an inquiry.
Hi my name is Jesse Duhard and i am one of the 2 new owners of Oellie r. If you want to see one of oellie's progeny search orillius. I am working on tracking down some more of his progeny, we do have one at our farm, a gorgeous filly. Unfortunately the rest i am trying to track down.If anyone has questions pertaining to Oellie R feel free to email me at jessieduhardathotmaildotcom. Furthermore Oellie R will be licensed with CWHBA for 2009.
I believe Oellie R carries the bloodlines not only of Voltaire and Ramiro but also of Farn and is thus closely related to Popeye K. I had a look at Oellie R recently in Ontario and was very very impressed by his conformation, elastic movements and gentle temperament. Congratulations to his new owners and hope to see more of his foals in the future!

You would be correct Cognac, Oellie is sired by Voltaire, and Ramiro Z is his Dam's sire and Farn was his grandsire on his dams side....wow that's a mouthful. I just wanted to attach some links to view current pics of Oellie. Oh and thank you Cognac i appreciate the kind words.
We have 2 Oellie R babies (now 3 & 4yrs). They have THE best temperaments and are going to be wonderful performance horses. I can't say enough good things about these babies.
I have a coming 5 Oellie R/Tb. cross mare. She also has the best temperament and disposition. I showed her at the BC Breeders Classic and she was Grand Champion Canadian Sport Horse at 3 1/2 months old as well as highest scoring futurity horse of the show. Glad to see Oellie will be standing for breeding again. Some pics...
Here is an image of my now 5-year old Oellie R mare, Dolly N out of an excellent TB mare. Dolly stands 16.1-1/2+ and was started late because she was very immature. It's amazing how nicely she matured and started to fill out. We are currently working with a Grand Prix dressage instructor to help her round up and use her body correctly, but she's a jumper all the way. We will probably begin her show career next year.
