Anyone going to the auction tonight? The public is invited. They have 250 to 300 seats available for the general public, up in the gallery. No refreshments are available so you can bring your own water,etc (no booze of course)
There are some very attractive horses for sale -broodmares, a weanling, a couple of yearlings, 3 or 4 two year olds and some 4 year olds. The 4 year olds are being ridden. Lovely movers.
Admission is a voluntary contribution to TROT ( therapeutic riding association of Ottawa)
Only registered bidders can bid on these horses but I'm sure it will be very entertaining for everyone. It's at the RCMP Riding Division in Manor Park at the end of St. Laurent Blvd.
The first horse goes at 8 sharp - a 4 year old, very handsome and aptly named "Clooney" It is suggested people get there early to get a seat - like 7 or before!

I have a 3 year old RCMP mare that I bought at the last auction offered for sale. She was broke and has been in full training with Olivia Vandenberg (the same trainer that trained the auction horses). From the Registered Canadian Sport Horse Dutch Stallion President (Kennedy/Candyboy), and the Irish Sport Horse mare Maria (Grey Tyera/spring Diamond). She has one of the most powerful jumps that both Olivia or I have ever seen. I am letting this mare go for $15,000 firm.
