Thought I had found what I was looking for-didn't work out (lets just say I got suckered big time-classic example of buyer beware I suppose).

Anyway, I'm on the hunt (again) for:

-a kind mare that can turn out with a weanling filly and my two year old filly who goes through the fences and gets hurt if chased (this one may not be sound to ride because of that, so I don't want to add to her problems), and the weanling is the barn owners, so I'd like to remain welcome there by not getting that one hurt
-sound to w/t/c/event low level up to Pre-Training, but more likely Entry and Pre-Entry if I'm even brave enough for that, and just have some fun with
-good to trail ride alone or in a group
-safe and sane, I do like a responsive and forward horse, but not one you have to fight with all the time to slow down, especially over fences
-quiet to handle on the ground, trailer etc.
-can live out with shelter and blanketed in winter but has a stall for really bad weather
-doesn't need back shoes (for turnout safety of others), front shoes OK
-15-16.2 hands
-bonus if smooth enough to also show Western pleasure at local shows
-breed, colour, beauty irrelevant, don't really care if she's marish sometimes, but sweet is a huge bonus
-was initially looking for a free lease since I also have a two year old to pay board on, but open to paid lease or purchase (under $5000-preferably a lot under as I dumped so much money already on this mare trying to get her sound)

I have a friend that has a 15 yr old TB mare. Calm. Can jump easily 3 feet.she measure 15.2 Did the beginner and pre-training level in eventing and also did hunter shows. No vice, sound, had a baby once. No trailer issues. asking price 3500$
