My Mom and I are moving to Barrhaven and so we want to move our horses closer to where we live.

We were thinking of Kars, North Gower, Richmond.

Can anyone tell me of some nice places? We are looking indoor board with great food, an indoor, hacking, and maybe some english lessons, but they don't have to be included in the board cost - maybe as an extra, or maybe let us bring in our own coach. And not too expensive - around the $300 to $375 range.

We offer boarding, $400 all inclusive. Booting, blanketing, minerals, de-wormers, basically everything! You only have to worry about vet, farrier and lessons. We take the worry out of owning a horse!

not to change the subject....but ive always wondered what was in there...im assuming the the place with the huge yellow building(coverall maybe) is it a boarding facility? and anynone know how to get in touch with whoever runs it to see if they have space?

Imagine my surpise to see my name mentioned!

In answer to your question, what's here is not a commercial facility but I/we do let people keep horses here (they contribute to the costs). Starting last september, there is now have a professional barn manager in residence on the property so the horse care is premium and the cost is a little higher as a result, about the same as what Dewmont charges, for example.

We have 135 acrs of property just 20 minutes from downtown. In the winter, there's a 80 by 209 indoor riding arena and in the summer we have a 12 acre perfectly flat and groomed polo field for hunter/jumper and dressage riding (no polo). Kitty Bowland is a well known senior judge who comes here to teach twice a week year round (when she's in town).

At this time (Feb 2008) I have room for one, maybe two, horses. We only have ten stalls overall. If anybody wanted to contact me they can call me on my cell phone. 799 08 13.

I drive past your place on my way to Apple Hill Stables four or five times a week. Just wanted to say that I'm thoroughly impressed with the facility and if I ever move from AH I'll probably be giving you a call. Your facility is absolutely stunning..

It is early october 2008, and we have two stalls available.

We've decided to rent them for a very low board rate. I won't publish it, but trust me, very low.

This would only be to the right people who are willing to help out and ideally you'd be a dressage rider and interested in taking lessons with Kitty Bowland.

Thanks for asking. Yes I do mean working at the farm, helping with the horses, maybe cutting grass, stuff like that. Depending how much you do, the board would be reduced accordingly.
