Does anyone know of any good, licensed equine chiropractors in the Ottawa area? (Would also consider a certified equine massage therapist if there aren't many chiros around...)

I'd like to have one come out and check my older gelding... He is located near Ashton.

You can email names/contact info to littlekeebler @ gmail . com (remove spaces) or post here.

I'd also be interested to hear about other people's experiences - whether good or bad...

Thanks!

I've used a chiro before to fix my horse's back due to a very ill fitting saddle, great success, but I've only gotten it done once. So I guess I'm not really a seasoned chiro user Smiler

Alison Seeley is great, and as far as I know the only Chiro in this area. What I find interesting about Alison is that she is also a Vet, not practicing but keeps her licence current. There is no funny stuff with Alison she just shows up does her work and leaves.
And after your first 2 adjustments usually it's every 3 months after.
The only down side to Alison is you can't get her out quickly. She does not make any exceptions. She sets a schedule for different areas and that's when you see her otherwise she will not come. But she is super at setting her schedule. She works very long days getting everyone fitted in.

Thanks for the info everyone. I'll look into trying to schedule her. I don't have an urgent case, so I don't mind waiting.

I work at Carp Road Animal Hospital and she is great with dogs and horses. I have had her do my horse as well. Very pleased and she is a great lady.
